Hi all,

I've had exactly the same problem. Seemed to be working fine after i set it up, and then the inbox just didn't update. Oddly,t he sent items did tho... very strange. I'm in the UK.

Anyway - the solution by Nigel was the one that worked for me.. specifically using the:

Exchange server: profimailer.de/exchange/emailaddress

I was actually using the exchange.1and1.co.uk/exchange one before - but this .de one seems to be the most reliable.

thanks Nigel

Well, I, like the others here have been wrestling with 1&1's UK MS Exchange 2007 service and their woeful customer service for some time. Finally, after a lot of trial and error I've got it to work with Entourage 2008.

Account ID: exxxxxxxxx (your 1&1 account id)
Domain: exchange
Password: yourpassword

Exchange server: profimailer.de/exchange/emailaddress (whatever you've set your email alias to, eg 123@abc.com)

Tick the DAV service option

It works for me and is a lot more reliable than using the US servers.

@tarek:
what version of entourage are you using? is it Home & Student? If so, this does not allow Exchange connectivity.

if it is a full version then make sure that you use the manual setup, not the automatic. I have never had any luck with automatic. Also make sure that the certificate is valid on the exchange server. do this by logging into the server via a web browser using the exchange address (NOT the webmail address) and then import the certificate into the keychain from there.
