i am not sure that i have found the problem but making my plugins more &#039;shallow&#039; by one directory and ensuring that the line terminators of each of the header lines are \n rather than \r\n seems to have solved the issue for me on some test sites.  i have yet to have the courage to roll out the fixes to production sites though ....]]></description>

the PDO abstraction layer is not available for php 4.x thus my code will not work on it.  
SFAIA php 4.x is no longer in development.  It is still being patched for security holes.  I suspect you would be well advised to upgrade to a php 5.x branch.]]></description>
